At this site you will find articles about the Danish Military History from the Viking age to present. The Danish version of the site contains several hundreds articles, but due to the volume it has been impossible to translate all of the articles. In the English section you will find translations of many of them, and in the future more will be translated. Operation "Hooligan Bashing" - Danish tanks at war
After monthlong harrassment by the Serbian forces in Bosnia, the Danish UN forces had finally had enough. On April 29th 1994 a Danish tank platoon was attacked by the Serbs, and the Danes responded so violently, that it echoed around the world.

"Together at last"
On the night of april 21st 1943 a Stirling bomber was shot down over Denmark. Only one of the crew members, Donald Smith, survived the crash. After having walked across Sjaelland he came in contact with the Danish resistance and was helped to Sweden. But the story didn't end until 1999, when Smith's ashes, at his request, were interred alongside his crewmates in Denmark.
